The central mystery revolves around the death of renowned history professor and art collector, Professor Ananda Mukhopadhyay, whose demise is initially ruled a natural death. However, soon after, a series of strange and seemingly unrelated incidents, including other suspicious deaths and the disappearance of valuable artifacts, begin to occur. Eken, with his keen eye for detail and his signature, somewhat eccentric approach to detection, realizes that these events are interconnected and point to a larger, sinister plot related to ancient Banarasi artifacts and their dark history.
