On their wedding night, Srinivas is shocked to find Srivalli completely engrossed in a popular Telugu daily soap opera called “Janma Janmala Bandham.” What’s even stranger is that she, along with other wives in the town, begins to exhibit bizarre and aggressive behavior every night at exactly 9 PM, coinciding with the show’s broadcast.

Convinced their wives are possessed, Srinivas and his friends, who hold outdated notions of masculinity, embark on a mission to understand and solve this mysterious phenomenon. Their desperate search for answers leads them to seek help from Maya Matasri (Samantha Ruth Prabhu), a spiritual healer. The film cleverly uses the backdrop of a daily soap to explore themes of female desire, suppressed voices, and how patriarchal mindsets can be challenged. “Subham” blends humor with mild horror, delivering a light-hearted yet insightful narrative about how reality and fiction can eerily intertwine, leading to chaotic and comical situations for the unsuspecting husbands.
