The film introduces Boishakh (Sariful Razz), a man marked by life’s disappointments, who works as an assistant in a hospital morgue. His life takes a surreal turn when a body is brought into the morgue, and he discovers she is Nohor (Shabnam Bubly), his ex-fiancée. Seven years prior, Nohor, a garments factory worker, had been forced to marry another man due to family pressures and economic hardship. The sight of her lifeless body, still wearing the copper-wire ring he made for her, floods Boishakh with memories.

In a desperate and unconventional act, driven by his profound grief and a desire to fulfill a long-lost wish of Nohor’s – to spend a day as his wife – Boishakh steals her dead body from the hospital. The film then follows his emotional and surreal journey as he spends 24 hours with Nohor’s corpse, reliving their past love and trying to find solace and a sense of closure. “Deyaler Desh” explores whether love can truly transcend death and how it impacts the living, showcasing Boishakh’s attempt to overcome his depression by fulfilling his beloved’s last wish, even in such a heartbreaking and unorthodox manner.
