The complex narrative begins with Neeraj Mitra (Jim Sarbh), a powerful and ambitious businessman, who discovers a massive oil reserve in the Bay of Bengal. Driven by greed and a desire for immense wealth and political influence, Neeraj conspires with top politicians to secretly exploit this discovery. To manage the enormous bribe payments involved, he enlists the help of Deepak (Nagarjuna), a shrewd former CBI officer currently in prison due to a false case. Despite his initial reluctance and his past as an honest officer, Deepak agrees to the task due to his circumstances and his desire to secure his family’s future.

Deepak devises an unconventional plan: he recruits four seemingly unassuming beggars from different parts of the country to act as fronts for benami (nameless) accounts, effectively turning them into overnight paper billionaires. One of these beggars is Deva (Dhanush), a kind-hearted and innocent man from Tirupati. Deva, unaware of the sinister plot, soon discovers that the plan involves eliminating him and the other beggars once the money transfer is complete. He manages to escape, sparking a desperate manhunt led by Neeraj and Deepak. On the run, Deva encounters Sameera (Rashmika Mandanna), a young woman stranded in Mumbai. The film then becomes a gripping journey of survival, trust, and a fight for humanity against a ruthless system driven by immense greed.
