He quickly uncovers a thriving underground network, exploiting disgruntled industry insiders and corrupt officials to acquire “first copies” of films even before their official theatrical release.

As Arif’s illicit business flourishes, he rises to become a notorious kingpin in Mumbai’s piracy racket. However, his audacious exploits inevitably attract the unwanted attention of both law enforcement, notably a determined cop named Saqib Ayyub, and powerful figures within the Bollywood industry and the criminal underworld. The series follows a tense cat-and-mouse chase, intertwining Arif’s dangerous love life with the high-stakes world of piracy. “First Copy” is a raw and realistic portrayal of ambition, survival, and the blurred lines between crime and cinema in a chaotic era.
